The Witch trials in Salem
“The Crucible” Poster shows a pointing woman (accusing others of consorting with the devil) being turned into a dead tree (losing their sense of self). This is a metaphor to represent the desperation the girls felt in the story, as well as being corrupted by various sins including pride, envy, and rage. For the color pallet, I chose to use red and black since they are often associated with evil. They were the perfect colors to use on this design because I felt that they properly represented the main themes of the play.

Early Ideas and drafts
Originally, the model of the woman was first created and rigged in order to create fast and easy compositions that could be altered faster. The concept with the red background was selected due to the movement emitted by the figure and the red background. Both aspects visually engages the viewer more than the original concept.
In addition to the poster, there were more designs for the advertising of the event
